Conceived as a post-lockdown celebration, the BIG series revels in the sheer joy of making music with dear friends. Over 4 Sundays, Leigh Harrold is joined by 4 of his favourite people in 4 generous concerts that overflow with largesse and optimism, exploring the universal themes that make life worth living. We begin on July 4 with flautist Laila Engle in BIG HEART - a programme of sparkling virtuosity that ranges from the heady Romanticism of Richard Strauss to the Victorian premier of Lachlan Skipworth's whooping and diving Sonata.
