Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Nicholas Milton returns for a massive concert of astrological proportions. Soloist Mark Atkins opens the evening as the didgeridoo and orchestra blend with soaring lyricism in Sculthorpe's moving Earth Cry while the second act journeys across The Planets, Gustav Holst's mighty showpiece. These two musical spheres orbit around the centerpiece of the evening, Mozart's brilliant Double Concerto for Violin and Viola featuring the heavenly talents of Ji Won Kim and Roger Benedict.
