Canberra’s Farewell to Arms
We conclude the 2017 Festival with a classic Russian tribute, one of Beethoven’s Razumovsky quartets, a newly composed suite by Hing-yan Chan based on a Chinese wedding banquet and Julian Yu’s inspired orchestration of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. It brings together all of our main festival artists in a joyful celebration that transcends language, place and time.
