Event Details
ELISION presents a recent composition that perturbs expectations, disrupts its own narratives, intrudes in a visceral, attention-grabbing manner and has more than a little of the 'what the…’ factor! Subtlety of timbre contrasts with violent and rapid manipulation of sound-producing technique and utterance. Composers Evan Johnson, Dmitri Kourliandski, Richard Emsley, Timothy O’Dwyer, Rebecca Saunders and others are performed by ELISION soloists including virtuoso vocalists Carl Rosman and Deborah Kayser.
Featured non-Australian music: Evan Johnson, Rebecca Saunders, Dmitri Kourliandski
