Event Details
Sonic Sites is an acoustic exploration of the Bundanon landscape and the creation of an immersive & participatory sonic performance. Ensemble Offspring collaborate with a bunch of local musicians as well as long time composer collaborators and together they will occupy natural and built spaces at Bundanon to explore the acoustic and resonant potential of each site. Video Artist Sam James will capture video footage of the musicians’ movements as light-drawings for projections. Vocal and music workshops with local Indigenous students will be held on site and audience members will be invited to participate in the aural activation and sonic mapping of Bundanon on the day of the concert. Thanks to Red Room Poetry for permission to use the Poetry in First Languages (PIFL) poems for the works for choir.
