Bass trombonist James Littlewood joins pianist Jenny Lu in a captivating program of bittersweet nostalgia, featuring works by Janáček, Kaprálová and Gabel, inspired by old stories and music. The performers’ transcription of Hindemith's Alto Horn Sonata explores the nexus between tradition and innovation, with recent works by Australian composers rounding it out - music of here and now.
