Event Details

Experience the power and joy of John Rutter’s famous Gloria, written in 1974, Soaring vocal lines and contemporary harmonies create seventeen minutes of utter bliss. Be the first in the country to hear Australian composer Dan Walker’s epic Mass, his first.

Walker is famous for his mastery of vocal lines and beautiful choral sound and this Mass, commissioned by the Leichhardt Espresso Chorus, is a much awaited world premiere. Glorious! Conducted by Artistic Director Michelle Leonard, the two pieces will be performed this coming Spring at St James Church. The concert features massed choir, organ and brass ensemble with Paul Goodchild and Sydney Brass.
