Event Details

In the canon of Australian composers, there are few whose legacy rivals that of Arthur Benjamin. Composer, pianist and noted teacher of Benjamin Britten, the importance and enduring influence of this 20th-century musical icon cannot be overstated. And who better to present an Australian composer than an Australian composer? Join AE pianist and Benjamin scholar Ian Munro this September as he gives workshop insight into Benjamin's recently re-discovered clarinet quintet.

Performers: Ian Munro and the Australia Ensemble @UNSW, with guest artist Dean Newcomb (clarinet)
