Each year Josie and the Emeralds joyously honour St Cecilia, Patron Saint of Music. This program also celebrates Mungo Lady, “Queen” of the Mutthi Mutthi, Paakantji and Ngyiampa people; the Tudor Queen Mary I, nun composer Rafaella Aleotti and the scandalous Aphra Behn. Music by Henry Purcell, William Hayes, Alonso Mudarra, Antonio de Cabecon, Christopher Tye, Orlando Gibbons, Johann Sebastian Bach and two world premieres by Brooke Green.
