The Black Sea Blues Band (Val Nart – keys, John Maddox – bass, percussion)
This duo has been around for 12 years, a combobulation of blues, jazz, electric fusion, Russian, free and world music creating something unique and original. This gig launches their freshly-cut improvised CD to the world.
9.30pm – Judy Bailey’s Jazz Connection
Jazz Connection is a 17-piece band of young players, widely recognised as a leading Australian youth jazz orchestra. Come witness the stars of tomorrow present new works by Simon Sweeney, Evan Lohning, Luke Davis, Loretta Palmeiro and Judy Bailey. Jazzgroove is proud to endorse this long-standing breeding ground for the cream of Australia’s Jazz talent.
