Event Details

This concert by the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra includes works reflecting the times when they were being composed. Matthew Hindson's fanfare Headbanger incorporates musical gestures from popular culture, Rimsky-Korsakov's music explores themes from the musical traditions of the Russian Orthodox Church, while Shostakovich's ninth symphony celebrates the victory at the end of World War II.
