Laura Vaughan draws you into the beautiful world of the 17th century English lyra viol. This rarely-performed music exploits the full potential of the viol as a solo instrument, with a fascinating range of scordatura tunings, full of sonorous chords, colourful harmonies, virtuoso filigree and sweet melodies from pop tunes of the time. Works by 17th century English composers and a premiere by Brooke Green.
