Event Details

An evening of traditional and contemporary Asian Australian culture performed by an all-star cast. Hosted by Andy Trieu (SBS PopAsia), this event celebrates the Moon Festival, commonly observed in China, Vietnam, Korea and Japan. Highlights include an exploration of Asian zithers and compelling new compositions navigating uncharted sonic territories. The program features a live calligraphic work by Chinese artist Zeng Luping and concludes with a 16 cello finale. Opened by Prof Jocelyn Chey AM FAIIA. In partnership with Inner West Council and in collaboration with Suszuki Cello Institute (Takao Mizushima).
