Event Details
A 40 minute work for medium jazz/classical ensemble and narrator which tells the story of the Aboriginal people who originally inhabited the east side of the Derwent River in Hobart. Music by Louise Denson, text by Nunami Sculthorpe Green. Commissioned by Clarence City Council Arts and Events for the Clarence Jazz Festival, with the generous support of Festivals Australia.
Come be part of our live studio audience as we make a sonic recording of specially commissioned work mulaka milaythina (the Hunting Ground), featuring Nunami Sculthorpe Green (spoken word), Louise Denson (piano, composer) and a 9 piece chamber-jazz ensemble. AUSLAN interpreted.
