New Interfaces for Musical Expression : Ensemble Offspring Concert

Works for hyper-instruments, electro-acoustic and electronic music compositions by Stephen Barrass and Diane Whitmer, Andrew Johnston, Jon Drummond, Nic Collins, Robert Ratcliffe and Jon Weinel, Garth Paine, Robert Mackay and Martin Daws, Mark Havryliv and Kraig Grady (just intonation tuned marimba), and Holland Hopson.

This concert is presented as part of the New Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME) 2010 conference hosted by the University of Technology, Sydney. The conference examines the theme of expression in music and Human-Computer Interaction, with satellite symposia on expression in intersecting disciplines such as dance, architecture, information design, urban media, video, games, theatre and design, exploring the interdisciplinary collaborations engaged through expression and multimodality.
