Event Details

Now that the stained glass windows in St Andrew's Uniting (cnr of Creek and Ann Streets, Brisbane) have stopped shaking from our May performance, Ady returns for another concert of eclectic pieces, designed to entertain and upset everyone. Back with the L. Vercotti Strings, we'll be featuring a new trombone concerto by one of our regulars, Tom Green, and introduce local composer Lisa Cheney with her new work, Reflections.

Luke Venables (tenor, appearing courtesy of Vocal Manoeuvres), and Melanie Taylor (horn) will be joining us for Britten's hauntingly beautiful Serenade, and there'll also be new arrangements of Gesualdo, Regurgitator, and the Penguin Cafe Orchestra. So if any of that interests you then please come along and join us. If not, then come along anyway. See you there!

Featured non-Australian music: Britten, Gesualdo's Peccantem me Quotidie arranged for strings (by Australian composer Adrian Head)
