Event Details

One Two Ten, is a boutique, bittersweet anthology of stories, uttered at the same time for exactly two minutes until there is no one left to hear them. MakeShift Dance Collective invite audiences to take part in a new art work and choose their own adventure as 10 artists takeover Leckhampton House in Kangaroo Point in their newest work One Two Ten as part of Anywhere Festival. Solo performances will be positioned in and around the Old Leckhampton House (now the Aboriginal Centre for Performing Arts) with audiences traveling from one location to the next in this round-robin style journey.

MakeShift has curated ten artists across music, theatre, dance and visual art. The long-term plan for One Two Ten will be a multi-faceted project, designed to offer artists the time and space to invest in their own performance and creative process skills. MakeShift Dance Collective has been working as an independent dance makers group in Brisbane since 2011. They have appeared in the Brisbane Festival, Anywhere Theatre Festival, Brisbane Emerging Art Festival, Strange Attractor in conjunction with the Australian Danced Awards, National Dance Forum and Dance Week Brisbane.

Performers: Gabriel Comerford, Gemma Dawkins, Caitlin Mackenzie, Kate Harman, Chiu-Ju Wang (AKA Raw), Nicholas Ng, Stephen Quinn, Sammie Williams, Emma Fishwick and Brodie McAllister
