Event Details
Out of the Shadows is curated and performed by Melbourne violist Phoebe Green. Featuring diverse musical voices from across Australia, this one-hour solo concert invites the audience in for deep listening and contemplation of the unknown, unseen, and unheard. Phoebe Green performs Out of the Shadows at the Motley Bauhaus in Melbourne (and Church Street Studios in Sydney) featuring music by Pedro Alvarez, Aditya Ryan Bhat, Christine Pan, Dominik Karski, Emily Sheppard, Flora Wong and a world premiere commission for Phoebe by Kammerklang’s artistic director, Cameron Lam. Hidden Curiosities is a new Kammerklang series championing existing, under-performed, Australian repertoire drawn from an open call for scores. Two performers pour over this collection of treasures to build their own personal dream program showcasing not just the talent of Australian composers, but their own taste, talents and stories. Its partner program, At First Light will be performed in Sydney by James Wannan.
