Christine Pan is known for her versatility in style and malleability in form. Her compositions intertwine Australian and Asian aesthetics and are often developed from psychological and spiritual frameworks. Her practice spans into various areas of gaming, science, palliative care, film and sound design for theatre.

Pan started her career as game music composer with No Moss Studios. Her art music has been performed by leading musicians, including the Goldner Quartet, WASO, Ensemble Offspring, Orchestra Victoria whilst also receiving commissions for Vivid Sydney and Musica Viva and ABC Classic. Her works have been performed at Accademia Chigiana (Italy), KUACMI (Kansas, USA), Fairbanks Summer Festival (Alaska, USA) and published in Women & Music: A Journal of Gender and Culture, Nebraska Press. Interested in multi-sensory concert experiences, she has also curated her own concert Tea Break, a series of solo chamber works inspired and paired with five different types of tea which won the new music award at Fringe World 2022.

Also in 2022, Pan has worked as composer for Liverpool Hospital palliative care patients and as a composer/sound designer for BIPOC theatre including Moon Rabbit Rising which won her the 2022 Sydney Theatre award in the Best Sound Design and Composition of an Independent Theatre Production category. She participated in the Composing in the Wilderness program in partnership with Alaska Geographic and Fairbanks Summer Festival. Orchestra Victoria performed her musical adaptation of Introducing Teddy, Jessica Walton's children's picture book, as part of Midsumma Festival; a second season has just been showcased at Melbourne Recital Centre in Jan 2023 and will be taken on a regional tour to Bendigo Bank Theatre and various regional libraries."
