Event Details
Experience Rouse Hill Psychedelia, a new experimental arts event transforming Rouse Hill Estate into a world of colour, light and sound. This psychedelic adventure is inspired by the radical musical ideas and abstract art of John Terry, a descendant of the Rouse family, who created immersive performances in the mid-1960s. Featuring an eclectic mix of electronic and experimental music acts, using both contemporary and retro technology (a nod to John Terry’s work), artists will respond creatively to the rural landscape of the property to create an unforgettable and sensory experience for all visitors. Over two nights, discover new experimental music and sound art, see Rouse Hill Estate illuminated by lights and projections, grab a bite to eat from gourmet food trucks and enjoy drinks from the pop-up bar. This exciting performance program has been crafted by: • Damian Barbeler, award-winning composer and multimedia artist, and lecturer of performance practice at Sydney Conservatorium of Music • Alexis Weaver, composer and sound artist, lecturer at Sydney Conservatorium of Music Presented by Sydney Living Museums.
