Event Details

Prepare to be transported to another realm in Coro Innominata's first concert for 2019 as they pair Gabriel Faure’s beloved Requiem with ethereal music from Renaissance Europe and contemporary works from Australia and across the globe, including the Australian premiere of Dan Forrest’s exquisite five-movement work, Words from Paradise. Under the guiding hands of their new musical director, Margaret Tesch-Muller, this program captures the essence of Coro Innominata- a love of early music and the classic choral repertoire alongside a commitment to performing the best new music from living composers. The program includes the world premiere of Tesch-Muller's Eternity as well as Elliott Gyger's And I Heard a Voice out of Heaven featuring soloists Andrew O'Connor of The Song Company and Claire Burrell-McDonald.

Performers: Coro Innominata Margaret Tesch-Muller (Conductor) Andrew O'Connor (Bass-Baritone) Claire Burrell-McDonald (Soprano) David Drury (Organ) Emily Ann Granger (Harp) Ristretti from Leichhardt Espresso Chorus Aurora Choralis

Featured non-Australian music: Galina Grigorjeva: In Paradisum; Vittoria Aleotti: Hor che la vaga aurora; Juan Esquivel: In Paradisum; Dan Forrest: Words from Paradise; Gabriel Faure: Requiem
