Event Details
Symbiosis III features soprano Jane Sheldon with Jane Bishop (flutes) and Genevieve Lang (harp). It includes the world premiere of a new work by Australian composer Amanda Cole, as well as music by Kaija Saariaho, Toshio Hosokawa, George Crumb, Beat Furrer, and Giacinto Sciarrino. Symbioses is a concert series curated by Jane, in which she invites two guest instrumentalists to present music for duo and trio, with a focus on works of the present and the 20th-century avant-garde. This concert is presented in partnership with the New Music Network.
