Event Details

“Utterly startling…adrenaline fuelled. 4.5 stars.” – Limelight Magazine. ‘The Ashes’, a special Lunch Hour concert, has been moved to Phillips Hall (and will not be performed in the Campbell Rhododendron Gardens). As a leader at the forefront of chamber music, Nexas Quartet promotes vibrant existing repertoire for the saxophone quartet, as well as creating new ones. The group’s success comes from a combination of their entertaining personalities, virtuosic saxophone skills, and an ability to program concerts in a variety of settings that appeal to wide audiences. ‘The Ashes’ references Australia’s cricket series with England, and music by English and Australian composers forms this dynamic program.
