The Jeremy Rose Quartet with Ben Hauptmann will be performing music from his third and latest release, Within and Without, recorded last April in Berlin with guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel. Featuring a stellar lineup from Sydney’s jazz milieu, this show will be an excellent way to enjoy Rose’s compelling compositions.
Jeremy Rose is an award-winning saxophonist-composer with over a dozen releases with his co-led projects including The Vampires, the Earshift Orchestra, The Strides and the Jeremy Rose Quartet. Rose’s numerous accolades include the 2015 APRA Professional Development Award for Jazz, the 2009 Bell Award for Young Australian Jazz Artist of the Year, was runner up at the 2016 National Jazz Awards saxophone competition, and was selected for the 2017 Art OMI International Arts Centre summer residency in New York. Jeremy holds a PhD in composition from the Sydney Conservatorium, and regularly performs throughout Australia, Europe and the UK.
