Event Details
The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music invites you to a captivating evening of music with the University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Held at the Melbourne Recital Centre, the performance will showcase a program of major works for orchestra, opening with selected arias from Bizet’s Carmen, followed by Liszt’s Piano Concerto no. 1. The concert will then feature the world premiere of Elliot Hughes’s Natural light below, and the evening will close with a performance of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite (1919).
Conducted by Benjamin Northey, the program includes performances by soloist Joshua Hooke and Master of Music (Opera Performance) students.
This concert is free but bookings are required.
