Event Details
Swiss conductor Baldur Brönnimann leads WASO in two exhilarating and provocative concerts of the best Australian and international new music.
Premiered by the Berlin Philharmonic in 2012, Anders Hillborg’s Cold Heat is a powerful work of evocative contrasts. Monolithic tectonic plates of pulsing sound clash against violently ritualistic percussion before giving way to an ethereal stillness.
The program also includes the world premiere of Lachlan Skipworth's (pictured) new clarinet concerto.
Featured non-Australian music: Hillborg
