This recording is used in performing the composition. The left channel contains the click track, heard only by the conductor or other leader (eg. concertmaster) through headphones - this click track is not heard by the audience (though it may be decided to have performers hear the click through headphones). The right channel is mono audio heard by the audience in balance with the instrumental performance sound.
