Product details
An Orientalist in Palestine is a musical commentary on the way in which Palestine has been portrayed in many of Hollywood's epic films. It is also is intended to be evocative of the spiritual dimension of Palestine and symbolic of the suffering the Palestinians have undergone as a direct consequence of the Zionist colonisation of Palestine. The research which led to the creation of An Orientalist in Palestine encompassed detailed studies of several works of the late Edward Said, including his controversial masterpieces Orientalism (1979) and The Question of Palestine ( 1980).
