Product details
Behold Eurydice is a dramatic piece for classical guitar. It is a musical narration of the famous greek tragedy Orpheus and Eurydice. It depicts the story of Orpheus rescuing his beloved Eurydice from Hades. As the legend goes, they are making their way from Hades back to earth. Orpheus was conditioned to go ahead of Eurydice and vowed not to look back until they had reached the earth's surface. As they approached the threshold, the excitement of Orpheus got the better of him and he looked back, only to watch Eurydice plummet back to Hades. This work offers a wonderful musical opportunity for dynamic and dramatic expression making it ideal for concert presentation or assessment.
