"Cat on the bedspread" is a free flowing gestural work that explores asymmetrical rhythms (11/8 and 7/8) in the outside movements and a chromatic ground bass in the middle. It is a substantial reworking of an earlier work for solo marimba 'Cut on dotted line'.
