Product details
On the third CD from his own record label legendary Australian guitarist John Williams performs three of his favorite concertos by Salinas, Edwards and Goss with the English Chamber Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Paul Daniel.
John Williams says about this new recording 'I have waited a long time to encounter concertos I really like which not only have a strong sense of their own identity of "belonging", but also, within that, embrace the guitar so totally naturally. The three 'concertos' contrast not only the backgrounds of their composers but also the musical languages and traditions in which they are expressed.'
As the names of the tracks for this wonderful CD show, these are works brimming with atmosphere and excitement.
I. First Maninya -- II. Arafura Arioso -- III. Second Maninya.
