Through the classical form of the 'concerto', connections are explored between different worlds: solo/ ensemble, classical/jazz, instruments/ toys and serious/humorous. The work is also informed by the concept that these contrasts are the opposite ends of the same pole.

A mix of jazz, classical, improvised music with an injection of irreverent humour. The mix of influences that informed the writing come from Balkan music, Werner Herzog, Confucius, Philip Glass and Phil Collins.
