Product details

El Nino. Boat People. The Life of Pi. Petrol prices. Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Under a general theme of ocean and politics Currencies to Current Seas is a swirling, noisy flurry of orchestral sound unified by static quarter-tonal brass chords, giddily repeated semiquaver woodwind passages, chromatic swirling effects and a lush but unstable recurring harmonic motive. Each of these elements is employed, exploited and combined to create a rapid and sometimes funky work suggestive of stormy seas and political chaos (or is that normality?)
