Product details
Why is classical music seen as stuffy? Serious? Boring? In 1988,
I devised a tango-based performance piece of domestic sound
sources from kitchens and sheds to counter this prejudice. The
performers need to be as talented as ever: they just change the
way they play their instruments (with extended techniques and
tunings) and what instruments they play.
It is meant to be harmless fun with a chance for normally
well-behaved musicians to let their hair down in an ensemble
situation. Doing the AO Tango was revised in 1991.
