Eileen's Vision : for percussionist and speaker / music by Christina Green ; poem by Eileen Myles.
by Christina Green (2015)
The piece is a setting of 'Eileen's Vision', a poem by NYC-based poet Eileen Myles (b. 1949). The work was written for Sydney percussionist Kaylie Dunstan, who completed a research Masters in the area of 'percussion theatre', by performance and thesis. It was written with an appreciation of the range of works that Dunstan is interested in - this includes works for percussion and voice, for 'actor percussionist', and works involving improvised elements.
