Sheet Music: Performance PartsFlying / by Stephen Lalor.by Stephen Lalor (1997)
|
Product details
The title "Flying" suggested itself
to the composer after the composition of the piece. A syncopated,
driving piece, it conjures images of flying - gathering momentum,
taking off and soaring into the air, then serenely gliding before
returning to earth. The different parts tumble over each other
in the opening, the middle section is more reflective and
improvisatory in nature, and it finishes with the energy of the
opening ideas.
