Apart from the middle verse, this is a loud fanfare with antiphonal trumpets in two or four locations. A large ensemble is required!

Apart from the middle verse, this is a loud fanfare with antiphonal trumpets in two or four locations. A large ensemble is required!

Alternate parts are available for horns (in E flat), trombones (in B flat, treble clef) and tubas (in E flat and B flat, both in treble clef).

Original version commissioned by, and first performed by Dwight Satterwhite and the University of Georgia Bands (USA).
