This lilting setting of the Christmas text, Hodie Christus natus est, has alternating 6/8 and 2/4 meters and achieves a medieval flavour through the use of tambour and triangle accompaniment. It is rondo-like in form, ending with a six-part "Gloria" flourish!
This is a popular choice for both SSA and SATB choirs.
