Product details
This is a one movement work in ternary form beginning with a lively syncopated theme in 4/4 which is contrasted by a more flowing middle section in the 3/4 time signature. The recapitulation uses the original theme transposed to a different key.
The theme is introduced by the Soprano Saxophone and then recapitulated by the piano. The two instruments embark on a musical conversation, weaving between each of the melodic and motives that are present.
The piece opens in a lively, syncopated 4/4 section, juxtaposed in the 3/4 section in the middle, where the main melody is recapitulated.
