In flesh ii is a work about the body.
The body to be heard, the spacious singing of its flesh, its imaginary, not uniform or in a homogenous way.
The work is inspired by the poetry of Chinese-American writer Jenny Zhang, and the grotesque tactility of her language; especially sticky, thick, guttural, in reference to the body. In flesh ii is concerned with the parts of us which are indissoluble, which cannot be washed away, and the relationship between the inside and outside - all that separates us.
