Product details
An extended slow introduction, interspersed with atmospheric effects (at times glissandi, others col-legno taps from the strings) it features short solos sections for flute, violin and then cello. This leads into a high energy allegro, in part country fiddle influences, in part contrapuntal writing. The work finishes with a slow hymn-like, but hesitant march, (also in changing times) with an extended line featuring the violas. And just about time, the viola sections of the world are too often neglected and not given their moment under the sun to shine!

Difficulty: Advanced — Expansive introduction, with structured ad lib effects, followed by not so difficult allegro, with, however (as its title implies!) changing time structures.
