The second movement of the work "Motions of Equinox"; Nostalgia for Celestial bodies, is a depiction of a dying love or perhaps, a reflection of a past love as one goes through the motions of time on autopilot. It is musically illustrated by contrasting the stillness of certain sections and chordal "check-in" points with momentous acceleration and virtuosity. Those parts of the work embody the desperation of one partner trying to reach the other but to no avail because it takes two for a relationship to work. The movement finishes on an ambiguous note to hopefully encourage listeners to reflect on their own past, existing and future relationships with their loved ones.
