This short work explores the sense of achievement in climbing. It references several aspects of Greek mythology, including various greek mountains. The vocal lines are long and sustained, while the simple gestures of the piano accompaniment maintain the momentun underneath, the staggered octave figures suggesting ascension. It would suit a good high school or women's choir.
