This setting of Psalm 43 embraces the transcendent aspects of seeking solace in divine love, incorporating both joy and dejection, acceptance and rejection. Its harmony is characterised by taking linear sequences of chords, from functional progressions, and overlaying them into a kind of ecstatic moment, an extended now.
