Product details

These pieces are a continuation of the collection Relaxation for piano: Back to Nature.

They were mostly composed in 2014, nos. 5 and 8 (2016) and 3 (2017). Three pieces were influenced by the seaside town of Aireys Inlet, along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. The first piece Along the Track into a Forest of Gum trees was inspired by an oil painting painted by my mother Betty, on the front cover of the collection. Another two pieces convey the ambiance around my home: the patio and the garden outside. The sixth pieces Chelsea Flower Show was part of garden my trip to Europe (2013).

They are all accessible to play, with pieces nos. 3, 4 and 5 more difficult. The latter two pieces make use of the extreme high and low registers of the piano. There is some more detailed pedalling where a particular sonority is required.
