Product details
They say our subconscious mind is busy at night and many of us experience that it works to solve problems and illuminate what we do not quite perceive. Becky woke up one morning in April 1999 with three songs in her head, including Salt is Rising, but also Black and Blues and Big Boats a Comin'. They were fully fleshed out with words and melodies, so she went straight to the manuscript paper and set them down. They are simple songs, but speak of her concerns for Aboriginal Australians, injustices we have done, support for their endurance and pain at how our culture dishonours the Earth's bounty. Each of them with chord accompaniments would suit protest choirs.
