Sheet Music: ScoreSights and settings : for live 'cello and prerecorded electronics / Stephen Leek.by Stephen Leek (1986)
|
Product details
Sights and Settings combines some traditional and some not so tradtional live sounds on the 'cello with some more familar electronic instrumental writing. These elements together produce a piece which has at times a popular music flavour to it. The work is in several sections which are;
City 1 - Surging energies in fast irregular rhythms and climaxes
Song of Unknown Places - Subdued and morbid yet quite melodious is a sinister and devious way
City 2 - Familiar and yet strangely unknow
Towers - Strong and glittering like individuals in a crowded stadium
Wanderings - Melodic and meandering, music to become lost in.
