STUDY #2 - meadow dog is a tribute to my late kelpie companion, Huxley, who was by my side throughout the creation of this, and many other works.
This work is suited for advanced students/performers and requires an instrument with an additional high C string. The primary challenge lies in the simultaneous execution of two lines, often structured in alternating groupings of five and six. The goal is to render these complex rhythms in a manner that feels consistent, bouncy, and natural for the performer.
