Music and sound design from the theatre show The River by
playwright Jez Butterworth, staged by Red Stitch theatre
company.
Making extensive use of river sounds, hydrophone recordings and
intimate felt covered piano miniatures de Groot's score is
delicate yet surprisingly intense. This almost continuous
auditory journey takes the listener underwater and into the world
of Jez Butterworth's ghostly River.
