Product details
Tormenta is a piece with passion and flair. It is an expressive and modern-sounding concert piece with a strong narrative of lyrical melodic phrases that pass through an ever-changing modal and polytonal harmonic setting. The lyricism is also mixed with outbursts of fast exuberance. The word Tormenta means storm which provides the musicians with an effective programmatic concept to guide their expression and interpretation. The piece concludes with a dazzling section of fortissimo tremolos and builds towards a thrilling climax to complete the story. The piece is not demanding to play and provides a great opportunity for students completing their senior school music programs to demonstrate their musicality with brilliance and dynamic flair.
